Client: Stepping Forward Technology
Colorado-based IT firm, Stepping Forward Technology, came to Kettle Fire to streamline its website and refresh its logo.
No more do-it-yourself
Owner Matt Harvey certainly knows his way around technology. Naturally, he designed and developed his previous website and even created his own company logo back in 2006. Now, years later, with a thriving IT business to run, Harvey decided it was time to bring in outside expertise to improve his website and logo design.
Approachable web design
Tech companies can come across as cold and inhospitable, so Harvey specifically wanted his web design to feel approachable while still portraying the company’s expertise. We created custom-illustrated graphics to represent the firm’s core services. The friendly images add approachability and have a techy vibe. Using more blue tones projects trustworthiness and stability.
We reorganizaed and streamlined the writtern content to keep users engaged. Calls to action catch attention in bright yellow-gold. A new FAQ page was the perfect way to combine important info that didn’t merit a whole web page. Users can even build a custom service estimate.
Rebrand logo design
After the website was launched, Harvey approached us to update the 13-year-old logo that he’d created himself. In handling the long company name, we minimzed the word “technology” so the company doesn’t appear to be a tech retailer. We kept the original black and yellow color palette, but created a new brandmark. The new symbol has a sense of forward motion, growth, and collaboration.
